This is the sixth generation of this popular car. BMW has very sensibly stuck to a recipe that works when it comes to the 3 Series. It hasn't changed beyond recognition over the years, unlike some of its competitors.
The 3 Series is available with a range of petrol and diesel engines. There's now also a plug-in hybrid version, which can give you 30 miles on just battery power. That's a huge plus point if you're looking for a company car and don't forget you'll be doing your bit for the environment too.
Traditionally available in rear-wheel-drive only, the 3 Series is now available with four-wheel-drive. If you're new to four-wheel-drive, it's not just for off-road fun, it's a massive confidence boost when the roads are slippery. You can literally feel your car sticking to the tarmac like it's on rails.
