Why lease a Volkswagen

History

Volkswagen was initially founded in Germany during the late 1930's. The name translates to 'the people's car company' but, at this point, Volkswagen was largely producing luxurious cars rather than everyday models. During WWII, the production of Volkswagen cars grounded to a halt and the manufacturing facilities were largely destroyed during the Allied aerial attack on Berlin.

After the War, however, Volkswagen was revived through a series of significant financial investments by various businessmen. By 1959, Volkswagen was producing vehicles aimed at the American auto market and 60% of Volkswagen stock was later sold to the public (effectively denationalising the company). By the 1960's, Volkswagen's Beetle vehicle became the most popular motor of its time; surpassing 15 million vehicles in 12 years.

LeaseCar and Volkswagen: a summary

Volkswagen are amongst some of the most reliable and high performing car manufacturers in the world. They have an unparalleled reputation for excellence and that's why we're proud to lease Volkswagen vans here at LeaseCar. All of our van offers are priced weekly giving the you the most up to date pricing.

We have five Volkswagen vans available in our range, each differing in terms of performance and features. If you are looking for a van which can step up to the job and carry heavy cargo, then look no further than the Crafter. However, if you would like something smaller but equally powerful, then the Volkswagen Caddy is a reliable option. Each of these vans come with their models and have different engine capacities. This means that they can complete a variety of jobs, no matter how big or small.

Nevertheless, there are a few surprises amongst the Volkswagen range. The Transporter Shuttle, for example, has been specifically designed to accommodate groups of up to nine people. It still retains a generous holding space, however, and is highly functional.
