Inside you'll find leather upholstery with contrasting coloured trim, climate control, a reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers and the Mercedes-Benz secure 'KeylessGo' start and drive system. Engine choices are both 1.6-litre petrol, either 120bhp or 154bhp.
The AMG Line benefits from a pleasing sporty makeover. AMG Line drivers enjoy 19" alloy wheels, metal-trimmed bumpers, a sports-badged body kit plus upgraded suspension and brakes. Inside, there's sports-style front seats and the 'parking pilot' - this version of the GLA Hatchback can even park itself! There's also a 4-wheel drive option for this model, complete with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 211bhp.
If you do a lot of urban driving and want a relatively economical car, the smaller engine is perfect for you and available with either a manual or auto gearbox. For those who do a bit more 'power driving', the 154bhp version packs a bigger punch with more acceleration. Explorers choose the 4-wheel drive version - luxury and excellent off-road performance in one package.
The interior drips with uniquely Mercedes-Benz luxurious details. Mercedes-Benz says 'refinement' in every way: there's a quiet and refined driving space and minimal road noise to disturb your comfort as you enjoy the full leather interior.
Enjoy intuitive 'easy-to-read' instruments, complemented with a dashboard-mounted touchscreen, from which you can operate many of the GLA's secondary controls. All entertainment systems feature both AndroidAuto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.
The Mercedes GLA achieved the maximum five-star rating from Euro NCAP when it was crash-tested, scoring 96% for adult occupant protection and 88% for child occupant protection. Frankly, we'd expect nothing less.
Safety features are identical across every trim level, with a wide range of equipment including electronic stability with Anti-Skid Control, a tyre pressure monitoring system and dual-stage driver/passenger airbags. There's also the option to add further safety-related driver assistance features, like the driver fatigue warning system.
